remy's voodoo - bio
Remy's Voodoo, cannot stay in one genre. A vision of texture with production and sound on every song. has been making music in Sacramento since the early 90's. Remy learned the basics of audio engineering from Sacramento City College and quickly took his skills on the road doing sound for local Ska band, Filibuster. During his three years with Fillibuster, he refined his live and in-studio engineering, but began DJing in his free time. In 1996, Remy left Fillibuster to go on tour as a House DJ for a two-year circuit from Washington state down to Mexico City. Remy was also known for throwing exclusive parties in the Sacramento and Bay Area until the early 2000's. In 2001, Remy joined a local Metal band Sindicate916 as their front man. It was only towards the end of his 10+ years with Sindicate916 that he started to produce a sound of his own. His first album below the city compilation vol.1 (under remy voodoo) was an experiment in Hip-Hop with prominent featured artists from the genre including LockMonsta from the Socialistics and 2002 #1 MTV undiscovered Hip-Hop/r&b artist Soul Clap. In 2012, Remy's Voodoo released E t U appropriately titled "Expect the Unexpected," and curiously described by the artist as "garage-techno-folk."Remy began another release of music in 2017 with four singles and a throwback to his House music days (with his signature perspective) in a four-song EP called Coffee Blink - EP in 2018. Late 2021 was RemyVoodoo's latest single releases - remysvoodoo.bandcamp.com
